Welcome to Geauga Credit Union, Inc. We would like to make switching financial institutions as easy as possible for you. Our Switch Kit is designed to give you the help you need to change your Automatic Direct Deposits, Automatic Payments and to close your account at your current financial institution. By following the steps outlined, you can make the switch with ease.

Open your new account at Geauga Credit Union.

Download the following forms and bring them to our office. We will even pay for postage to mail them for you. You will need to fill one out for each merchant, employer, and financial institution as needed. You may mail the forms yourself.

It can vary in amount of time that it takes for the switching of your transactions to take place. We suggest that you make certain all items have transferred before closing your old account. Please follow this basic guideline:
Payroll: 2 weeks to 8 weeks
Pension: up to 90 days
Social Security*: up to 60 days *For Social Security, please call 1-800-772-1213 for fastest transfer.
Most payment transfers will take between 30-60 days.

Please make sure all checks have cleared from your old account prior to closing.
